Alex Pinchev President & Chief Executive Officer

Alex Pinchev President & Chief Executive OfficerAlex Pinchev joined Acronis Inc. as the president & chief executive officer in January 2012, and has served on the Acronis board of directors since November 2010. Prior to joining Acronis as president & CEO, Alex was the executive vice president and president, global sales, services and field marketing at RedHat where he led that organization’s worldwide sales, services and field marketing organizations and activities. In this role, he was instrumental in driving the company’s growth into the world’s leading provider of open source solutions and its expansion into emerging markets. During the course of his 25-year career, Alex has leveraged exceptional entrepreneurial and international acumen and led several successful start-up companies, including MainControl, Inc., where he served as chairman, president, CEO and founder. Mr. Pinchev also serves on the board of directors of Qualys, Inc., a provider of on demand IT security risk and compliance solutions, and of LogiXML, a provider of Web-based business intelligence software.

Ed Benack, Chief Information Officer/Chief Customer Officer

Ed BenackEd Benack has served as our Chief Information Officer and Chief Customer Officer since January 2008. Prior to joining Acronis, Ed was the Senior Vice President of the Customer Experience and Service for Monster Worldwide. Between 1996-2005, he served as Microsoft Corporation's General Manager of Customer Service for North America and Asia where he delivered award-winning service. He also held senior roles within Microsoft's Information Technology Group. Prior to that, he was a Staff Director of Engineering for NYNEX Corporation (now Verizon). Ed served as a US Army Officer including German Military and Government Liaison and anti-tank platoon leader. Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Theoretical Mathematics & Political Science from Bucknell University and an MBA in Computer Information Systems from Hofstra University.

Virginia Dean, Global Vice President of Human Resources

Virginia DeanVirginia Dean joined Acronis as Global Vice President of Human Resources in August 2011. In a career spanning over 20 years, Virginia has enabled multiple senior management teams translate their organizational vision into high performance employee engagement.
Prior to joining Acronis, Virginia was a Certified Executive Coach at Dharma Consulting Associates assisting leaders to realize organizational transformation for modern business practice. Previously Virginia served as Vice President Human Resources for ARIAD Pharmaceuticals where she was instrumental in preparing the organization for commercializing their first drug on the market. As a seasoned Human Resources Executive, Virginia has built numerous HR organizations to be the agents for change and growth within public, private and non-profit organizations. In addition, she has designed and implemented key programs to position organizations for ongoing sustainability such as: goal setting, integrated performance management, compensation strategies and leadership and management development programs.
Virginia is a Certified Professional Coach with New Ventures West (ICF certified), holds an MBA, and a BA in Anthropology.

Laurent Dedenis, President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing

Laurent DedenisLaurent Dedenis was named President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing in December, 2010, with responsibility for global Sales and Marketing activities. Prior to that time, he served as Executive Vice President, EMEA at Acronis beginning in November 2008. Responsible for leading the company's strategy and business across EMEA, he oversaw the sales, marketing and product localisation functions in the region. He first joined Acronis in December 2004 opening the Singapore office to develop the company's business in the Asian market. In 2006, he moved to Europe to establish Acronis' presence in EMEA which has experienced phenomenal growth under his leadership. Acronis now has over 150 employees in Europe with offices across nine countries. And, according to Gartner, Acronis is now the world's largest privately-held storage management software vendor.
Prior to Acronis, Laurent held the position of General Manager of Microsoft Solomon Software Asia and previously held several top international managerial positions in the company formerly known as SWsoft, today Parallels Group. Laurent holds a Ph.D. in International Business Administration from the International University of America in San Francisco and a Masters degree in Economics and Management from the University of Paris XI in Paris, France.

Anthony Folger, Chief Financial Officer

Anthony FolgerAnthony Folger has served as Chief Financial Officer of Acronis since October 2008 and prior to that as Acronis’ Corporate Controller since June 2006. As Chief Financial Officer, Anthony plays a leadership role in determining financial strategy by directing and overseeing all financial and fiscal management aspects of Acronis’ operations. Anthony joined Acronis from Starent Networks Corp (Nasdaq: STAR) and prior to that held senior management positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers, MarketMax (a retail planning and intelligence software company, now a division of SAS) and Deloitte. While at Deloitte, Anthony participated in the firm’s global development program living and working in Singapore to assist Asian based companies with U.S. filing and SEC reporting requirements. Anthony earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Accounting and Economics from the College of the Holy Cross and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Alain Gentilhomme, Senior Vice President, R&D

Alain GentilhommeAlain has served as the Vice President of Product Development of Acronis since May 2007. Prior to joining Acronis, Alain spent 12 years with Microsoft Corporation. He initially started working on the adoption of Microsoft technologies in the developer community in Europe and then led a group of Architects for the Microsoft European Headquarters. In 2000 Alain transferred to Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, WA as a Director in the Visual Studio and .Net Framework group. Prior to leaving Microsoft, Alain was a Group Program Manager responsible for the Management technologies in Windows and specifically for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. Alain grew up in Paris, France and holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master in Electrical Engineering. He then obtained a Ph.D in Artificial Intelligence applied to electrical engineering. After college, he worked for various companies in France on the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques in the telecommunication areas and, later on, moved on the design of Unix-based mission critical distributed software systems.

Dmitri Joukovski, Vice President of Product Management

Dmitri JoukovskiDmitri Joukovski has served as Vice President of Product Management of Acronis since January 2009. Dmitri joined Acronis from open source backup solutions provider Zmanda, where he served as Vice President of Product Management. Prior to Zmanda, he was in product management at EMC and Legato focusing on backup and recovery software. Dmitri holds a Master's degree in Physics from St. Petersburg University in Russia and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Gregg Schor, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development

Gregg SchorGregg joined Acronis in April 2012, and is responsible for managing the Company's strategic development to support business expansion worldwide.
Prior to joining Acronis, Gregg was CEO at General Counsel Solutions, a Company he founded in 2003 to provide managed M&A, legal and other related services to organizations of all sizes, with an emphasis on the high growth tech sector. Gregg brings to Acronis over 20 years of experience working with private and public technology companies and a strong track record for successfully managing complex, international M&A and business development strategies. Having served as General Counsel and as Director of European Operations for companies that have ultimately been acquired by Microsoft, IBM and EMC, he has an invaluable depth of experience within the technology sector.
Gregg began his career as a trial attorney in New York City. He received his J.D. degree from St. John's University School of Law in 1990 and received a diploma on International and Comparative Law for study in Russia and Poland from the University of San Diego Institute on International and Comparative Law.
